UK's Biggest Planner Meet - UKPA The Big Meet 2019

On the 2nd February this year I was fortunate enough to grab a ticket for the UKPA Big Meet and wow I'm so glad that I did.  What an amazing event; a coming together of like-minded people, planners and creatives at the CEME Centre in Rainham, near London.  If you only attend one planner meet up next year, then this should be the one, the golden halo of planner events (or should that be crown). Best of all Erin Condren was there, which means it is now the second time I have met her.

I travelled down the night before, staying in Romford and it was a great way to get chatting to other people in the hotel (over a few drinks of course).  I was apprehensive about all of the travelling, especially the two tubes I needed to catch, however it was all fine and I had no need to worry.  As I have been to a few planner events before I already knew a few people so was able to meet up with them on arrival, which was great. ​

The Big Meet Event Itself

The Big Meet Team from UKPA, led by Stephanie Mulcahy and Sheree Wilson did such an amazing job at putting the event together, there was so much to do, chat about and take part in.  Firstly there was the shopping, I was Stephanie Kitching's stall helper on the day with her beautiful hand crafted book-binding stall Scurry and Peck. There were some beautiful planner shops, I felt like I had died and gone to heaven, (you can see all of the contributors on the UK Planner Addicts website). Each stall had freebies to give out too, which you got checked off on a printed sheet, such a lovely idea to get you to visit each stall. I also filled in a creative journal of the event which you can have a look at here or further down the page.

Did I mention that we had an amazing goodie bag too? No? Well yep there was, several in fact, so many goodies that it didn't all fit on the table.

​We had a beautiful UKPA pouch stuffed full to the brim, including a teeny tiny tn, as well as treats from Trimcraft, who lead a lovely workshop on journaling your goals and creating a vision board. In addition to all that we also got a bag of gifts from Busy B Planners.

​Then came the icing on the cake... we got an amazing inspirational talk from Erin Condren, who stayed at the event for most of the day, she is so motivational.  Even better we were all gifted a European Life Planner, the roar in the room when this was announced was magical.

I absolutely loved the event, it went so quickly and in-spite of my anxiety I met and chatted to several lovely people as well as my old friends on table 20.

I also loved helping out at the Scurry and Peck stall. I have made many lifetimes friends at planner meets and I hope to make many more. If you haven't been to an event I can highly recommend it.

​Finally at the end of a fun packed day we headed down in to Romford town centre to Frankie and Benny's for a lovely meal, another perfect time to meet more new people and chat all things planners. Definitely memories to last a lifetime.
