Self Care Journaling
The pages I have created are the first four pages of this years bullet journal. To create my page I started out with a variety of tissue paper backgrounds and Tim Holtz ephemera to make an art journal style vintage page. I then used my new Docraft Metallic Pens to add in my Word of the Year.
On the right side of the page I added a Monthly table and a little envelope to fill with ideas for self care rewards to treat myself with. I will list off rewards and treats I am allowing myself each month, similar to last years self care reward system.
"Value Your Own Worth" Be Kind To Yourself
I used a variety of cute themed die cuts and added little treats and rewards to myself on the back of them to remind myself to treat myself when I reach a goal, achieve something or deserve a personal reward. It's always nice to have a visual reminder.
Reap The Rewards
On the next page I focused on reaped rewards for the year. The year ahead is a busy one with the school show and exams at work, as well as being busy with my blog, You Tube and Facebook Group. I also need to maintain my active lifestyle and as I have lost 2 stone in the last 6 months, I want to stay at my Slimming World target weight. I thought it would be nice to list my achievements, targets and goals for the year here. This makes giving yourself a reward much easier when you can see what you have achieved.
"The harder you work for something, the greater you feel when you finally achieve it"
Finally I have added some motivational quotes and key areas to focus on for the year ahead. I know that this will be one of my go to pages in my bullet journal this year and it will serve as a great reminder to help keep me focused as well as rewarded.
"Work hard and don't allow anyone to make you feel bad for your success."
In case you haven't yet seen my planner set up for the year ahead over on my You Tube channel, I will pop the video here too.
Have you created a word of the year for the year ahead? What's your motivation behind it? Do pop me a comment below, I love to read about you. Have a wonderful 2019 and year ahead, Happy New Year to you all,
Kerry xx

That is so pretty, a great way to help you stay focused. I have created a scraptherapy book for my word RELEASE to give me a creative way to focus on things I need to change.
