Hi all, just a quick round up of what I have been up to over the end of term school holidays...aww, it's so lovely to have a break from work and so nice to be able to catch up on my planners, creative journaling, smash books, art and blog. I really have been using the break for a bit of me time... the marking can wait. I can't believe it is Easter already, where is time going? Crazy!
ART JOURNALING GROUP CHALLENGES:
If you missed the post about the new Art Journaling Group you can see it here or you can join the group directly here - https://www.facebook.com/groups/KerrymayMakesAMess
There is quite a bit going on in the group. We took part in the first group challenge last week on Tea Bag Art. You can see my results of that above and pop in to the group to see the creations the lovely members made... they are awesome! The hardest part of this challenge for me was that I don't like tea. No, not just don't like it, I hate it, hate the smell and hate touching wet tea bags. It certainly was a challenge. We are now on to challenge 2 which takes inspiration from acrylic fluid painting and drawing circles. If you're up for the challenge then pop on over and share your creativity. The group also has places you can share your work and is a place you can go to relax, chat or get inspiration or ask for help.
Above is a couple of new pages in my art journal for the 2nd group challenge, it's a bit of a 'creative mess' so hopefully I will have a go at a better one this weekend (after I have done at least 'some' of my marking before I go back to work (hahaha). The second image is a page from my smash book, which I love. I received some gorgeous washi tape and ephemera from the UKPA group on Facebook as part of their Wishes post, so have put it to good use. I am on a No Spend on planner, art or stationery of any kind from now until 22nd May (I know, I know, violin please and a huge dose of willpower thrown my way). See more of my Smash Book pages here.

Below is a video of my unboxing of the April Mystery Kit from Hazy Days UK. If you haven't seen her shop then get over there, some gorgeous stickers and supplies for planners. Visit the shop - Hazy Days UK.
If you are reading this from an email or blog/feed reader then copy and paste the following link to view the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWMxiFQT1hI A Note From Kelly - *Just a note to anyone interested in buying one of the mystery kits... The 'extras' each month will be different but there will always be 5-7 sheets of stickers which have a design on exclusive to the mystery kits so once they're gone they're gone! The value of the contents will always be more than the cost of the kit as well :) **May & June kits are available in the shop for pre-order now and will ship on the 5th of the corresponding month xx
So what have you been up to? Any art? Planning? Or just enjoying the run up to Easter? I have no children myself, but can imagine it's not a time for getting much me time if you have.
