I might not have been able to create a full travel journal this year, but I did still manage to do some creative journaling to document my summer, even if most of my original summer plans were cancelled or put on hold.

Well it's certainly been a strange summer. I don't know about you, but I haven't been hardly anywhere... Italian holiday cancelled, no night outs, no festivals, no summer shows.
I have still managed to find time to do things for me though, lots of relaxation, reading, garden days, family BBQ's so fortunately I have still been able to document my summer, even though I didn't get to do my fancy travel journal like I had hoped.
I loved the papers, stickers and embellishments in the last two Lollipop Box Kits, they were perfect for documenting those long endless summer days in my creative journal. The stickers from Anna Brim (a monthly designer for the kit) are perfect.
These pages actually form the last pages of my covid journals - I have made 2 in lockdown and will do a flip through/post on these at a later date, although some is quite personal to me.
Making Handmade Bookmarks
In addition to my creative journaling I have been reading much more and needed some bookmarks. The August kit was perfect for this.
I used the gorgeous papers from the kit and added embellishments and even drew my own palm tree. I then ran them through the laminator and finally punched a hole and added the string that came with the kit. Perfect for those summer reads or a nice gift.
