My 5 Favourite Pens for Planning & Journaling

6/4/2017

Pens, pens and more pens, fountain, gel, paint pens, chalk pens; a girl can never have too many.  I will take you through some of my favourites to use in planners, planning and journaling as part of the Planner Girls Collective. This post uses affiliate links, but they are all for products I use and love myself.

Stationery Island Chalk Board Pens and Brush Pens

I love Stationery Island pens, they are such good value and are great quality. The chalk pens are perfect for lettering in art journaling and they go over paint easily.  The brush pens are watercolour compatible and blend so easily.  You can see me using them here.

Leegoal Gold Fountain Pen:

I love this fountain pen, it looks beautiful and writes very nicely for the price. You do get bleed through in Travelers Times notebooks, but if I am using it on a page I make sure I stick something pretty on the next page or glue two pages together. It really does write beautifully and looks way more expensive than it is. It is quite weighty, but I love that about it. A proper bargain buy.

White Gel/Paint Pens

Good paint pens are a good investment for art journaling and general journaling, Posca Uniball pens are a must and again these can go over paint. I also couldn't live without my PentelHybrid uniball gel pen in white and gold for extra detailing, they write so smoothly.

Uniball Signo Gel Sticks

I LOVE the Signo gel pens, so smooth, no bleed through and they write beautifully.  I use the green pens for marking students work in my teaching job and I use the purple to write in my planner. Very cheap for what they are.  Highly recommended. I really need to buy the whole set.

Cute Korean Pen Set

These are so cute and so cheap.  I love them and use them all the time in my planner.  They don't bleed through unless using them to colour in.  They write lovely and have a fine nib.  Great colour variety from the ten pens.  You can pay extra to get them in a plastic box.  Perfect cuteness for your desks pen pot.
