Happy Mail Mixed Media Envelopes and Tags

Happy mail ideas and inspiration for creating mixed media decorative envelopes and tags using watercolour and scrapbook embellishments from the April Lollipop Box kit.

Hi all, today I thought it would be nice to create some 'happy mail' goodies, including decorative envelopes and mixed media tags. I know we can't all get to a post office at the minute, but these can be saved to use after we come out of lockdown.

I have used the gorgeous goodies from the April Lollipop Box entitled 'My Secret Garden'. I love this month's box so much, so vibrant and fresh for Spring and just what we need to cheer ourselves up during isolation.

Decorative Envelope Art

I started this envelope by painting the grass with watercolour paint. Lisa has added some green paint for you to do this in your kits... I must admit I had forgotten about that so used my own paint - doh! I then used a stencil with an ink pad to add the circles. Finally adding the stickers from the kit and one of the gorgeous stamps to finish it off.

For the next envelope I used a mix of watercolour paint and stencils/stamps, then went over it with a black biro to bring out the detailing. I topped it off with a sticker in the corner and cut up one of the postcards for the Wild and Free quote, lastly using a biro again to create a border.

The last envelope I used was an Air Mail envelope. Again I used the stencil and ink pad and also added some 'smooshing' to the edge.

Finishing this all off with more embellishments from the cut apart sheets and stickers as well as 2 of the tissue paper flowers.

Mixed Media Tags

Finally I played around by making 2 mixed media tags which could be sent in your happy mail or used in your journals or junk journals. The brown tag comes in the kit already pre-stamped so that's a bonus. I simply added some embellishments from the kit and then made a border using a black biro and a white posca pen. The key on the tag from the kit really sets it off beautifully.

The second tag I just used Daniel Smith watercolour paint and created the border in the way. I then added a sticker from the kit - Be Wild and Free.
