Flip Book Happy Mail Tutorial and Plan With Me Process Video

This week I have been making my first real flip book for a pen pals 'Happy Mail' / 'Snail Mail' in America. I have documented the plan with me / make with me process in the video below. It's so easy and would also make a great gift for your child's teacher or as a Mothers Day gift, just adapt what you fill the envelopes with (reward stickers, pens, herbal tea), the possibilities are endless.  I will be making my next one this week as a leaving gift for a work colleague.

Equipment and Resources Needed:

• 12x12 scrapbook paper
• Ideally a paper trimmer, but scissors will be fine
• Washi Tape
• Two small pretty envelopes
• Pritt Stick
• Goodies to fill the envelopes​ (ephemera, washi tape, sticky notes etc)

Method:

• Trim down the paper to around the same height as regular tn by drawing around your travelers notebook.  Cut out and fold down the centre. Use the extra bits and stick these to the sides to create flaps (the flip part).
• Stick on two mini envelopes and then fill the envelopes with planner and stationery goodies. I used stickers, sticky notepads, ephemera and pretty papers.
• You can then add further decoration and writing as you wish.  You may use one of the envelopes to house a letter.
• Decorate and pin things to the flaps/wings. I added sticky notes and a washi tape sampler which I held on with a cute handmade paperclip.
