Join me in my Christmas kitchen home tour, my very first one...exciting. I love this time of year as I totally go Christmas decoration crazy, but in a tasteful way (well I think it is). This year in my kitchen I have gone for a country rustic feel, complete with a rustic shelf and table centrepiece.

The teapot on the bottom row I actually made during pottery lessons in Primary school. I have it decorated like this for most of the year then add the extra rustic decorations, including the signs, Santa, berries and poinsettia and blue hue L.E.D lights at Christmas. Most of the bought items were from The Range or picked up in charity shops ... (ahem) boutiques.
UPDATE DEC 18TH: I've now added some sprigs of mistletoe which I picked up for a pound at the local post office. I think it really sets off the shelf nicely and gives it that true rustic feel I was trying to create.
My house was actually a show house, so when I bought it 9 years ago I paid extra for the furniture. This included the lovely dining table.
CHRISTMAS DINING TABLE:
Most of the items on the dining table are there all year and given a makeover for Christmas. Again I added berries and poinsettia to the rustic jug which I bought off ebay a few years ago. The table gets more Christmassy on Christmas Eve for our Christmas buffet and then gets even more Christmassy for Christmas Dinner.
Christmas Decoration Idea
Finally, for a rustic feel I used a metal planter from The Range and filled it with red, gold and nature type ornaments. I then added white fairy lights inside and finished it off with a rustic nature wreath around the edge.

I admire what you have done here. I like the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the comments that this is working for you as well.
