About me and why I chose to write in this circle.
I'm Kerry a 43 year old drama teacher in a secondary school in the UK and a complete planner, creative journal, art and general craft and mixed media fanatic. I'm addicted to creating pages, messing around with a paint brush and passing on my tips to others. I love blogging, I used to have a website years ago and before that a very active MSN Group (I really miss that group). I really do love the blogging community, so it's always nice to be part of a blogging circle. Some of our new circle used to be a part of the Planner Girls Collective so we thought we would broaden our niche to include blogging about all sorts not just planners.
You can read more about me and my blogging and creative journey here About Me. A person or topic that interests/inspires me right now?
At the minute I'm loving tiny tn's (travelers notebooks) and creating mini art in them... blog post on this coming soon.
I'm also really interested in Bullet Journaling, but I don't have the dedication to stick to it as a weekly or daily thing. I much prefer to have a bullet journal for lists and tracking that I can keep going back to. At the minute I'm loving my Erin Condren Life Planner that I got from The Big Meet planner event. I love how pretty you can make it. However ultimately my heart lies with my Travelers Notebooks. I love how versatile they are using blank notebooks to make every spread different. I also love that you can have several different books in them for bullet journaling and art / creative journaling.
What book am I reading right now and would I recommend it?
What’s my weekday morning routine?
Since February I have been struggling with hormonal acne so that's a big part of my morning routine now. I get up fifteen minutes earlier than before to give me time to deal with it. I have been using The Ordinary products and in the last few days it is finally starting to clear. I hope to do a blog post about my skincare routine in the next few months.
I then get ready, make up on and chill with a coffee and the computer playing a few Facebook games before I head off to work. The weekend is similar, I don't have kids, so at the weekend I do get to lie in. I then do as above but then add in an exercise routine from one of Lucy Wyndham Read's on You Tube. I do these every day but usually in the evening on weekdays. What about music of the moment? TV show?
Music: I'm loving quite a few things at the moment. Still loving my old favourites of Tool and Nine Inch Nails (will never shake my alternative vibe). Current music I'm listening to a lot of Jack Savoretti and The Black Keys, I'm waiting till after my holiday to purchase their new album.
TV: Big Little Lies is one of my faves at the minute. I also loved Ghosts, You and Better Call Saul which I finally caught up on a few weeks ago. I love all of the classic series' like Breaking Bad and The Sopranos. I also finished watching Life on Mars last week and have now started on Ashes to Ashes. Hobbies beside planning and crafts?
Well this is an easy one, I'm a drama teacher, so I love acting and directing plays...not too fond of directing the musical (it depends what it is, loved doing School of Rock, but I much prefer an abstract and physical theatre type play like those of Frantic Assembly and Kneehigh Theatre Companies. As you know, I'm really in to art journaling and creative journaling. I just love creating memory pages as you can see in a variety of my blog posts here Art Journaling Series and here for Creative Journaling. You can also join my art journaling group Kerrymay._.Makes a Mess
Who in the planning world would I love to meet?
Hhmm, well I have already met Erin Condren twice, so I'm not really sure. To be honest I just like meeting new people and meeting people who I have chatted to online. I love how the planning community come together at meets. Read about the planner meets I have attended here Planner Meets
Digital or paper planning. Which do I prefer?
Oh my word...paper of course! Here's why: Why I Use a Planner.
If you could tell past you something about planning what would it be?
Well I have always been a planner, so I would just tell myself to keep doing what I love and don't let anyone tell you it's silly or childish... trust me people do!

I have been toying with the idea of reading the Tattooist of Auschwitz, but I have yet to pick it up. We must find each other at the next meet-up! I can't believe I missed you at the big meet!
