Please pin me to Pinterest.
Hi all, today I am sharing an art journal page I created using Daniel Smith Watercolours, complete with a process video.

If you haven't tried the Daniel Smith Watercolour paints, then I highly recommend that you do. Wow they are amazing, so pigmented and you only need a tiny morsel to bring your art journal page to life. In this post I have created an art journal page using just two of the paints: Phthalo Turquoise and Opera Pink. You can buy the watercolours in ready made hand poured half pans from Little Rainbow Moon's Etsy Shop. See the direct link to the paints here.

Catch the whole process below in the video... don't forget to leave me a thumbs up and a comment on You Tube.

This post contains affiliate links, which means I get a small commission if you purchase through the link. They are for products I highly recommend and use myself.
The colours blend so beautifully they are so vibrant and pigmented that it just makes painting a dream.

In addition to the backgrounds I added Archival Ink in jet black to the page using an embossing folder which I added ink to. I then used a Heavy Texture Modelling Paste and a stencil from Ali Express to create texture. You can get some great and very cheap art stencil masks over at Ali Express and they are all less than £2.50.

This is the second page I have created in this way, the first page I created for a swap I took part in on Instagram. I love the end result of both the pages. This really is stunning paint, I can't wait to get the whole set.

Have you tried the Daniel Smith watercolours yourself? What did you think? Pop me a comment below.

Wow! I just found your site today (thank you, Pinterest!) and you have so many great posts, I can't wait to read more! I really appreciate your videos, too. It's so helpful to see someone else's process (not just the results). Thanks for sharing all this goodness. :)
