Monthly pages are often a neglected area of your planners or journals. My work monthly planner started off well and then I totally stopped filling it in. However, I do keep up my monthly planning in my personal traveler's notebook (Uglydori) and I do take pride in making it look pretty.

My Monthly Planner Pages Set Up:
I have a separate insert for my Monthly Planning which I bought from Travelers Times on Etsy. I use the cahier size (even though I have a regular sized tn, I just prefer that they are slightly bigger). The paper is so smooth and shiny and there are enough pages for two or three years. The inserts are a plain grey kraft cover which I decorated as in the images below. I used a mixture of scrapbook paper, ephemera and watercolour paint (which didn't like the kraft paper at all!).
Monthly Pages Layout:
So on to the actual pages themselves. I usually vary the monthly layouts (just like I do in my weekly planning). Sometimes I use the cute mini Korean stickers which you can pick up very cheaply on Amazon or AliExpress and other times I use sticker sets or monthly kits. I used a gorgeous Monthly Kit from Hazy Days UK in April which can be changed to any month if you leave a message with Kelly on Etsy (use code HAZY15 for 15% off). In addition I used some of the Brimbles Box goodies with the rabbit stickers.
January also uses some stickers from A Beautiful Plan and the Korean Girl stickers. March is all about Pamper and Plan so I used the fabulous stickers designed by The Geeky Planner and some others that were in the goodie bag. I try to fill in as much of the month as I can before hand, I then add things in as they happen too. I always mean to do the sticky note thing, where you sticky note the page so if anything changes you can easily remove it, but I always forget and pen it in anyway. I now have an erasable pilot pen to combat these errors! I try to vary the colours by using two or three different colours in a month, but in keeping with a colour scheme. It's not always easy when you don't have a specific pen colour to hand, so I find varying the pens makes life a little easier. The January and March also use my freebie printable headers which you can find here.
I use the right hand notes sections for the most important tasks or things I need to do or places I am going. So that's it, my Monthly Planning in a nutshell.
How do you plan your month? Is there anything you find difficult about 'Monthly Planning' or do you just forget to fill it in? Pop us a comment and a like at the bottom of the post (it all helps the blog get noticed).
