I thought I would try something different this week: Concertina Jacobs ladder style journaling cards to be placed in a tin. These make perfect gifts for Mothers Day or Valentines Day. I wanted to make my sister something to document her year. She has just moved in to a new house with her boyfriend and I thought these would be perfect for adding a quick photo or comment to for each month.

I had a fantastic year in 2019 and I am keen to maintain that into 2020 in both my journaling and personal achievements. It makes sense therefore that my Word of the Year for 2020 should be just that... 'Maintain'.  I want to start the year with some positive journaling and mindfulness; start the year as I mean to go on.

I thought I would try something totally different today (for me anyway)... making my own paper paperclips.  The finished result is definitely a triumph and I will be making more, they are perfect for your planners and journals or as a cute gift.

I have used a variety of different papers that came in this months Lollipop Box. These papers are actually perfect for this craft as they are just the right thickness. (Disclaimer: I received this box as part of my Creative Team role).

I love that moment when you start to work on a new journal. It is however always difficult to know where to start with it and what to put on your first pages. The October kit; 'Once Upon a Time' from the Lollipop Box Club however is PERFECT for the first few pages of a journal as this month it is all about telling your own story. Yay hello everyone, here's my first post for The Lollipop Box Club since I made it on to the creative team. Today I am sharing a junk journal I have made using the gorgeous September Kit. As part of my own Facebook group Kerrymay Makes A Mess, I set a challenge every August to create a junk journal.

It's been a long time since 1, that I have created any watercolour art and 2, that I have done a post for Anna Brim, but yay, I can say that I am happy to be back doing both. I was so inspired by Anna's watercolour snowdrops video tutorial over on her patreon page - patreon.com/mrsbrimbles, that I decided to add my own twist to it using Colourcraft Crystal Colours Brusho as well as watercolour and stamping ink. I still used drawing gum to create a resist for the snowdrops. You can see my full process in the video below.

Hi everyone, wow it's nearly Christmas, time flies! Today I have been playing around with a few things from Anna Brims Patreon goodies to create a Wintery themed art journal page. I'm in love with this page, the colour, the texture, the mood, it all sings to me and makes me warm and fuzzy.

For this page I followed a video tutorial of Anna creating a moon page like this one, but with a painted unicorn... you can get this as a collage sheet and I tell you now, it's stunning (you can see a sneak of it below in the photograph).
