Guest post for Mrs Brimbles Art Creative Team
I see a lot of posts in the planner and creative journal groups asking for ideas on using their printables, papers and creative kits. For this post I am using Anna's patreon resources (workshops, videos and printables) to give you some inspiration on how you might use them in your own planners, creative journals, art journals and on memory keeping pages.
Phew, I have finally fully completed my first Creative Journal / Smash book which I started over Easter in 2016. It has quite a lot of pages as it is in one of the Moleskine Notebooks. The end of the book has my Adventure Journaling Course pages that I have just completed from a course over at Mrs Brimbles I thoroughly enjoyed the course and hope that it is going to continue pushing my journaling forwards. Over in my Facebook Art Journaling group we have just completed a junk journal challenge which ran through the month of August. I have had an overwhelming amount of people taking part and loved every minute of it. Such beautiful books and journals were created. I for one will most definitely be making many more, they are so pretty and it has been so therapeutic. I will be using mine as a Happiness and Inspiration journal to log my moments of happiness and likes as well as adding mood boards and inspirational quotes.
The images from my journal are below as well as a video flip through of the completed journal. You can check out the pages participants have made using the hashtag #kmmamjunkjournal on Instagram, there are some stunning pages. People have taken part across a range of platforms; on their blog, in the group, You Tube, on Instagram and on Google Plus.
This week I have been making my first real flip book for a pen pals 'Happy Mail' / 'Snail Mail' in America. I have documented the plan with me / make with me process in the video below. It's so easy and would also make a great gift for your child's teacher or as a Mothers Day gift, just adapt what you fill the envelopes with (reward stickers, pens, herbal tea), the possibilities are endless. I will be making my next one this week as a leaving gift for a work colleague.

As well as the front cover of the notebook, I also decorated the inside cover and added a functional pocket to house some of my lovely Planner Society stickers that were sent as part of the happy mail. I really love the finished product and managed to decorate the cover and inside cover and still managed to save the lovely flip book and have goodies left over. I'm going to use it as a journal, not daily, but a place to write down my thoughts when I need to or feel the urge. I'm just waiting for my new Jane Davenport Travelers Notebook to arrive now which will be it's new home ._.
Hopefully this post has inspired you to use your Planner Society and ephemera/papers for something other than your planner and to help you if you have been hoarding the pretties. Do pop me a comment below to let me know what you think or over on the You Tube video.
Have a great week,
Join me in my first 'Plan With Me' Creative Journaling process video as part of the Planner Girls Collective. Boy did it take some editing. At one point the file totally gave up and I had to start again from scratch.
I went to Ladies Day yesterday at Warwick racecourse. What a beautiful place Warwick is, never been before. The Castle and the town look so pretty. The video shows you step by step how I created the smash book style creative journaling page using the stunning ephemera I won in a RAK over at Fab Planner Print. The ephemera is gorgeous, a mixture of solid and vellum style, it really looks beautiful over the watercolour.
Check out Toni's group - Fab Planner Print Facebook Group and buy some of the ephemera for yourself over on her Etsy shop - Fab Planner Print on Etsy.
My monthly round up of my weekly planner spreads and layouts and a few pages shared from my smash book from April. This post is mainly pretty pictures of my layouts, so I hope you like the pretties. Happy National Scrapbooking Day!
