Watercolour Tip in Doodle Journal Cards

Hi all, wow I have been feeling so inspired from Anna Brim's latest patreon videos. This month has great content in both the videos and collage sheets that I had so many ideas for this blog post. I decided to take inspiration from a video she shared with her patrons about using post it notes and doodles. I decided to add my own spin to it and use a painted watercolour background using Daniel Smith half pans, then added doodles to that before cutting the whole page up to make a mixture of ATC Cards, Journal cards and post cards. You can see the whole process below.

Hola from Sunny Spain! Yes I am on my holidays in Palma Nova, but scheduled this to go out whilst I was away. Over at Kerrymay Makes a Mess Facebook group last year we ran a challenge for a Travelling Art Journal swap. In the end we had three different circles going and I am pleased to say I have received my journal back. I have been meaning to film the flip through for a few weeks now, so I finally got my backside into gear and have done it. You can see the finished flip through of my book below. Hi all, today I am sharing an art journal page I created using Daniel Smith Watercolours, complete with a process video.

If you haven't tried the Daniel Smith Watercolour paints, then I highly recommend that you do. Wow they are amazing, so pigmented and you only need a tiny morsel to bring your art journal page to life. In this post I have created an art journal page using just two of the paints: Phthalo Turquoise and Opera Pink.
